TVS Pre-ETS Receive Two National Awards
TVS Pre-ETS Team Wins National Recognition for Helping Students Succeed
The Pre-Employment Transition Specialists (Pre-ETS) at TVS have received two national “Most Transformative Provider” awards from AVI Human Services, shining a spotlight on the impact the Pre-ETS are making in local schools.
The team was recognized in two key areas: Instruction in Self-Advocacy and Workplace Soft Skills.
These awards celebrate programs that help students achieve the highest growth in skills and confidence, measured from the beginning to the end of the school year. Out of 187 agencies nationwide, TVS’s Pre-ETS program rose to the top.
“It is incredibly rewarding to be recognized for our work, and it is a testament to the dedication of our team, including the students and teachers we serve. These awards really rested on our students' active participation and willingness to engage and learn,” said TVS Pre-ETS Lead Jessica Casey. “This recognition fuels our commitment to continue empowering individuals with the essential skills they need for a successful transition out of high school and into the workforce.”
For TVS, the recognition is more than an award, it’s proof of the difference their specialists make in the lives of young people. Pre-ETS works directly with students in local schools, providing guidance and practice in workplace readiness, self-advocacy, and other skills that prepare them for life after graduation. The program is offered through the NC Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities.

The Pre-ETS program is one-way TVS continues its mission of creating opportunities and uplifting everyone; by helping individuals gain the tools they need to thrive in work, school, and life.
