abilIT Opens Registration for Tech Training Program
ALULA announced today that registration is open for Cohort 3 of abilIT, a 14-week workforce development program designed to prepare neurodivergent adults, adults with disabilities, and veterans for careers in information technology. The program combines technical training with professional development and prepares participants for industry-recognized CompTIA certifications. Sponsored by ALULA, abilIT is offered at no cost to accepted participants.
Applications for Cohort 3 are open through September 14, 2026, with classes scheduled to begin September 21, 2026. The program offers both in-person and remote training, with coursework aligned with CompTIA Tech+, A+, Network+, and Security+ standards. Participants develop practical skills in troubleshooting, networking, cybersecurity, and hardware and software support while building a foundation for careers in technology.
Preparing for a career takes more than technical knowledge. abilIT also focuses on the professional skills that help participants succeed in the workplace, including resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, workplace etiquette, professional communication, and customer service. Participants also learn how to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.

ALULA delivers abilIT in partnership with Melwood, building on a proven workforce development model that has created technology career opportunities since 2019. More than 300 participants have graduated from the program, with alumni pursuing careers with organizations including Wells Fargo, Nickelodeon, MITRE, Enabled Intelligence, and the federal government. Through this partnership, ALULA is creating more pathways into technology careers and helping individuals with disabilities and veterans put their skills to work.
